I am a creative and versatile surface pattern designer with a commercial eye. Confident hand painting or working in Photoshop.

I love creating beautiful, bespoke artworks tailored to suit your brand-handwriting. I enjoy working in a range of media and styles - inks, watercolour, acrylic, collage, photography - whatever the brief requires, I can adapt to your specific brief. 

Adaptability

Designs can be adapted for various products and uses; my experience spans a range of product applications from fashion, scarves, swimwear and accessories to homewares, curtains, cushions, lampshade, tea towels and wall art.

reworking & recolouring

I am very experienced in reworking existing bought artworks or vintage designs (like the example above & below from Anthropologie) cleaning and redrawing where necessary, while maintaining the original charm of the design. I can then create a series of colourways and placements as well as working into a production ready repeat. 

Production ready: placement & repeat patterns

I can adapt a design for placement or allover repeat depending on the final application. Completed designs are sent ready for production and can include; indexed, screen separated, rotary and digital repeats. 

Illustration

Launching Jericho Design House has given me the freedom to experiment with more figurative work and illustration using watercolour and inks.

I have also created a number of illustrations in my work for Oliver Bonas which combine handpainting/pen with Photoshop. 

Research, moodboards and colour palette

If you are in the early stages of building your brand or product range, I can help you shape a cohesive design strategy for mood, colour, print and product. Creating a tool kit to build a unique product or range. 

Licensing existing artworks

If you have your eye on one of my exisiting designs for your product, I can arrange to license my artwork for that specific purpose. My fees for this vary based on what the design will be used for and the numbers being produced.
